Does a Vitamin IV Drip Work?

After many late nights at Art Basel, my body finally had enough and went into shut down mode the Sunday I was leaving. It wasn’t a hangover from alcohol, I was just so drained from the late nights and early mornings and the lack of consistent food and vitamins I usually rely on. My friend Hannah, offered to get a vitamin IV drip with me from Bewell and here is what happened next…

I arrived at her hotel room and shortly after the nurses arrived with their IV drips, they explained that these are not medical IV drips that are normally used for hangovers but that they are vitamin drips that consist of antioxidants and nutrients like B12. The process is fairly simple and I felt no pain at all, just a quick needle in your arm and you can sit on your phone for 25 minutes until the drip is fully in your system. I didn't feel anything immediately as it takes some time for nutrients to fully absorb into your system, however after 20 minutes or so I started working on emails and I felt so much more alert but not in a jittery way, in a calm sense. My tiredness escaped me and I felt more like myself the rest of the day! The IV drip can bypass your digestive tract and delivery the key nutrients your body is needing, directly into your bloodstream which is why it's seems to be the fast track answer to curing your body! A vitamin IV drip cost roughly $100 and  I would definitly recommend it to anyone feeling a little low.
