Pre Loved
The warm weather always has me cleaning out my closet as I begin to make room for the upcoming season’s purchases. I do struggle to part with certain pieces in my wardrobe, though, which is why I can barely keep my drawers closed around this time of year.
There’s certainly some favouritism when it comes to particular items in my closet; some I wear over and over again, while others play a brief role in my outfit choices. I remember buying this ACNE blouse when I first moved to Berlin, imagining how many different ways I could wear it, and I instantly had to own it. Out came the wallet and into my closet it went.
I wore it a few times, but for some reason it never became a favourite of mine. I always admired it when I opened up my closet doors, but also feel a sense of guilt for not putting it to good use. It was too expensive to just give away, and just because I don’t love it anymore doesn’t mean someone else won’t.
This is why I’m so happy to have discovered Vestiaire Collective, a platform where I can sell my designer goods, make some money for my next purchase, and know that someone who appreciates beautifully designed items will have something to add to their collection.
Vestiaire strives on the importance of having absolutely no fakes; they make sure everything is authentic before allowing it on their site. I’m planning on selling quite a few things through Vestiare Collective throughout the upcoming season, which I will put towards some other pieces I can’t keep my eyes off – like this classic Celine bag.
