From the Streets of LA

I recently revisited one of my favourite cities – L.A. In addition to loving the weather and fresh food you can find anywhere, I fell in love with L.A. for another reason this time. The 5 days we (my sister and I) were there flew by faster than we thought. A few meetings turned into a few more and before we knew it, we were on our flight back home, already missing my morning smoothies from Earthbar. I had to make the most of every second we were there so in between meetings, I was determined to find the perfect backdrops for outfits I wanted to shoot. What did we do? Literally, just drove around and took random streets whenever we felt like it. I put my Waze away and by doing this I fell in love with the quaint neighbourhoods and the architecture of the homes in L.A. I can honestly say I did not see 2 of the same houses look the same and even the homes that had been redone with modern finishings, still maintained a lot of the original design. When I had stayed in L.A. in the past, I had always stayed in the hills which has a different feel than other communities in the city so I was just loving seeing new areas and finding new reasons to return to this cool city. It goes to show – you can visit the same place so many times and discover new gems in every trip.
