Inside The Launch Of The New Gabrielle Chanel Fragrance

 Last week, I had the privilege of attending Haute Couture week in Paris with Chanel. Chanel was launching their first fragrance in 15 years, so you can imagine the excitement revolved around this product launch. I was able to experience all aspects of the this timeless brand during my few days in Paris and my first stop was to Gabrielle Chanel’s original apartment! The minute the doors opened to her home, I felt like I was instantly transported back into the 1920’s. Large wooden furniture, oriental motifs, antique trinkets, gold cigarette trays and floor to ceiling mirrors…oh the things that must have happened there, the conversations, the ideas – I was in awe.

Chanel is one of those brands that that constantly reflects back to where it came from. Before creating the House of Chanel, Gabrielle, or as we know her by her nickname Coco, was a passionate, rebellious, and free woman. Her persona was the inspiration behind this new abstract floral fragrance: GABRIELLE CHANEL. The details that go into a new product like this are absolutely mind blowing and when you get a better understanding of the brand, you realize why Chanel is Chanel. The fragrance is made up of white flowers, jasmine, and ylang-ylang with notes of orange blossom. My favourite thing about it is that the scent changes over time on your skin. At first, it smelt very floral and after a few minutes the perfume turned into a slightly sweeter scent that I absolutely fell in love with. The square bottle is simply gorgeous and because of it’s ultra thin glass, the light hits it so beautifully on my vanity. Of course, no product launch is complete without a party! We danced, drank champagne and celebrated Gabrielle in the best way possible – watch the video to see all the highlights from the evening!
