Matcha Smoothie
I couldn’t buy too many things during my time in Japan but I made sure that there was enough room for Matcha in my luggage on the way home. I have been a long time fan of matcha green tea so you can imagine my excitement when I had options of matcha ice cream, lattes, cake and cookies during my travels. However, since matcha is known for it’s amazing health benefits, I like keeping things as natural as possible when drinking it. I’ve been making this healthy, energizing smoothie since I’ve been back and I’m absolutely hooked. It has been fuelling my long mornings at the computer and assisting all those ice cream cravings I was getting as soon as the sun peaked out. The frozen fruit is a perfect combination with that slight bitterness of the matcha, it’s a new summer favourite.
