Sailing Through Italy

Sailing through Liguria, Italy has always been a dream of mine and last week I finally got to experience that! Our vacation started in Genoa where we left to sail to Portofino, we spent a few days at the port of Santa Margherita and then continued through to Portovenere. It was such a beautiful and relaxing way to see Italy, it was  also so refreshing to be able to escape the towns and cities at night and just be on the water, it made you feel much more at home. We left to spend the last few days in Rome and I don’t think we were ready for a city again because all we wanted to do was be back on the boat.

Since we spent a lot of time on the water, we mainly grabbed fresh produce from the markets and made delicious meals on the boat - probably my favorite thing to do when travelling. However, we did eat out for some dinners and I can recommend a few spots to try, I've also added in some of the bakeries and grocery stores where we picked up things to eat:

Santa Margherita:

Ristorante Pado

Osteria N 7

Skipper

Fiordiponti Alberto

Antica Drogheria Seghezzo

Porto Venerere:

Torre di Venere
