Weekend Essentials

As you all must know by now, weekend trips to my neighbourhood market have become a ritual. Which led me to creating a post all about my new market bag; yes, I’m that excited for it! I was juggling two carry-ons this past Saturday morning – my purse and a pineapple – when I realized it was seriously time to make the upgrade to a proper shopping bag. A little stand at the end of the street was selling these simple and gorgeous handmade straw bags; the perfect, spacious bag for throwing endless amounts of produce in. Once I made the purchase, my market shop got a whole lot easier and my fruit became a lot less bruised. Plus, how much cuter is it than a tote? I also picked up these gorgeous Freesia flowers, which everyone was asking me about on Instagram. I’ve never had them in the house before, so I was completely shocked at how amazing they smell! They actually smell like fresh cracked pepper with a hit of floral and have moved to the top of my flower list.
